My goal has always been to create functional, imaginative, warm, environments that my clients will thrive in.  Whether it be a residential or a commercial space, my goal has never altered.  After graduating from Colorado College and receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree, I continued my education at IDI, an accredited FIDER  Interior Design program.  I established Mia Design in 1987 and have always strived for excellence in anything that I do.  My 30 years of experience in the industry has been insightful and rewarding.  It has taught me the importance of open-minded collaboration, allowing great ideas to flourish.  Listening to my clients and analyzing their needs to achieve their dream design concept is critical to me.

My passion is being involved in the entire design process from inception to completion.  The function and efficient operation of a space is paramount and aesthetics follow.  The harmonious balance of the two reveal the experience.  Hands on partnering with the craftsman through the process is important to me.

One of my objectives is to create an experience in each room and to maximize every square inch.

My strengths are:

Space planning, interior finish specifications, collaborating with the design team, furniture and fabric selection, attention to detail.  Lighting is always an integral part of my designs: it is imperative there is precise and appropriate lighting to ensure the success of any design.

Mia Design’s ultimate goal has always been to enhance the lives of my clients through thoughtful and harmonious design.  Exceeding their expectations with an exceptional design is the true reward.
